Covenant – Creation

THE NEW CREATION

The Redemption of Our Body – (Paul links the bodily resurrection of believers to the New Creation since both are integral to the promised redemption)

New Covenant in Jesus – (The covenant promises find their fulfillment in Jesus and the New Creation)

His Return and New Creation – (His arrival means the Day of the Lord, the final judgment, and the New Creation)

Coheirs with Jesus – (The covenant with Abraham is fulfilled in Jesus, the Patriarch’s seed and heir, including the promise of the Earth – Romans 8:1-23.)

The City Built by God – (The city “whose builder and founder” is God is none other than New Jerusalem)

NEW COVENANT

Heir of the Word – (Because of his faith, Abraham is the heir of the world along with all men who are from the same faith as him – Romans 4:11-13)

Abraham’s Seed – (Jesus is the promised Seed of Abraham, the heir of the covenant promises, and receipt of the inheritance is based on faith in Him)

Inheritance of Abraham – (In Jesus, the original limited land promise to Abraham encompasses the entire creation)

Incomparable New Covenant – (Jesus inaugurated the promised and vastly superior new covenant, rendering the old one obsolete)

Heirs of the Covenant – (The gift of the Spirit has arrived with blessings for all believers as promised to Abraham)

Spirit and Covenant – (The gift of the Spirit is part of the New Covenant and the first fruits of the Resurrection and the New Creation)
