Spirit of Antichrist

The Antichrist Spirit works to destroy the church from within, especially through deception propagated by false teachers and other deceivers – 1 John 2:18-22.

In popular preaching, the Antichrist is a political tyrant bent on world domination. However, Jesus and his Apostles expressed more concerns about the deceivers who would spread false teachings in the Church than world leaders. The New Testament applies ‘Antichrist’ and related terms to false teachers infiltrating the Body of Christ to distort apostolic teachings.

Trompeurs dans l’Église

La plus grande menace pour les disciples du Christ vient des séducteurs à l’intérieur de l’Église qui répandent de faux enseignements et génèrent de fausses attentes.

Ce n’est pas la société environnante, sa culture ou le système politique qui détruiront le Corps de Christ, mais les forces sataniques qui travaillent fiévreusement à l’intérieur de l’Église pour tromper les croyants, en particulier les faux enseignants et les faux prophètes conduits par “l’Esprit de l’Antéchrist que vous avez entendu venir, et même maintenant il est dans le monde” – (1 Jean 4:1-3).

The Danger from Within

The greatest threat to Christ’s disciples comes from the deceivers inside the Church who spread false teachings and generate false expectations.

It is not the surrounding society, its culture, or the political system that will destroy the Body of Christ, but the satanic forces working feverishly inside the Church to mislead believers, especially false teachers and false prophets driven by the “Spirit of Antichrist you heard was coming, and even now it is in the world” – (1 John 4:1-3).

Mes Témoins

Le Don de l’Esprit équipe l’Assemblée pour rendre témoignage à Jésus, en particulier en ce qui concerne sa Résurrection d’entre les morts. 

Au début du Livre des Actes, Jésus dit aux disciples qu’ils seront “baptisés dans le Saint-Esprit dans peu de jours” et qu’ils “recevront une puissance” leur permettant de devenir “Mes Témoins à Jérusalem, dans toute la Judée et la Samarie, et jusqu’aux extrémités de la Terre.” Recevoir le Don de l’Esprit équiperait ses saints pour proclamer son message “à toutes les nations.”

My Witnesses

The Gift of the Spirit equips the Assembly to bear witness to Jesus, especially concerning his Resurrection from the dead. 

At the start of the Book of Acts, Jesus tells disciples they will be “baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence,” and they will “receive power” enabling them to become “My Witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the Earth.” Receiving the Gift of the Spirit would equip his saints to proclaim his message “to all the nations.”
