The Last Days, the Age of Fulfillment, began with the Death, Resurrection, and Enthronement of the Son of God.
When we hear the term “Last Days” we assume it refers to the final few years of history that will occur just before the return of Jesus “on the clouds of Heaven.” This is logical and natural. However, the New Testament presents the present age as the time of fulfillment, the period that began following the Death, Resurrection, and Enthronement of Jesus.

Jésus a régné en Souverain sur la Terre depuis sa Mort, sa Résurrection et son Ascension, déjà il est assis sur le Trône messianique. En raison de son obéissance, il est le “Souverain des rois de la Terre.” Avant son Ascension, il déclara que Dieu lui avait accordé toute autorité – “Au Ciel et sur Terre.” Son autorité est sans limites et une réalité présente. Ainsi, travailler pour des entités politiques concurrentes devient, au mieux, une perte de temps. Seul le Royaume de Dieu durera.

Jesus has reigned as Sovereign over the Earth since his Death, Resurrection, and Ascension, already, he is seated on the Messianic Throne. Because of his obedience, he is the “Ruler of the Kings of the Earth.” Before his Ascension, he declared that God had bestowed all authority on him – “In Heaven and on Earth.” His authority is without limits and a present reality. Thus, working for competing political entities becomes, at best, a waste of time. Only God’s Kingdom will endure.

La Lettre aux Hébreux compare la parole supérieure que Dieu a “prononcée dans Son Fils” à toutes les révélations passées, y compris celles “prononcées dans les prophètes.” Les anciennes “paroles” prophétiques étaient vraies mais partielles et préparatoires. Dieu a dévoilé Sa “parole” définitive en Jésus, qui seul “a accompli la purification des péchés” et est ainsi devenu le Souverain Sacrificateur de son peuple.

The Letter to the Hebrews compares the superior word God has “spoken in His Son” to all past revelations, including those “spoken in the prophets.” The former prophetic “words” were true but partial and preparatory. God has unveiled His definitive “word” in Jesus, who alone “achieved the purification of sins” and thereby became the High Priest of his people.
