Believers must fight tooth and nail for their chosen candidates and programs! But chosen by whom?

PRIESTLY COMPANY ON ZION

The 144,000 “males” on Mount Zion comprise the “first-fruit” of the final harvest, the priestly company that “follows the Lamb – Revelation 14:1-5.

Previously, John saw the 144,000 “males” from the tribes of Israel encamped in the wilderness. Now, they appear together on “Mount Zion,” a priestly company and the “first fruits” of the greater harvest to come. They stand with the “Lamb” in contrast to the “inhabitants of the earth,” who bowed and rendered homage to the “beast.”

Victory over the Dragon

CALL TO ACTION

The Book of Revelation is not a tool of divination for peering into the future. Instead, it summons God’s people to vigilance, right living, and faithful witness, all while living in a hostile society. It is not so much about when certain events will occur, but instead, how churches must “overcome” in their present situations and, thus, arrive at the city of “New Jerusalem.”

PEOPLE OF GOD IN REVELATION

SYNOPSIS – In Revelation, the “saints” are identified and defined by their relationship to Jesus, not ethnicity or membership in the nation of Israel.

The book of Revelation applies numerous labels to the people of God, including “churches,” “saints,” “elect,” “churches,” “priests,” “witnesses,” “seed of the woman,” “called,” “faithful,” and “my people.” This group consists of men and women “purchased” by the “blood of the Lamb” from every national and ethnic group – Ethnicity, nationality, and social status have no bearing on membership in the covenant community.
