HOUSE OF GOD

Jesus is the true and only way of access to the Father, the Greater Bethel, and the house of God John 1:47-50.

John presents Jesus as the True House of God and the open way of access to the presence of Yahweh. He is the Greater and True Bethel, the “house of God,” and from now on, heaven is open to all men, and angels are “ascending and descending” on the “Son of Man.” What Jacob saw in an ancient long has become a concrete reality in Jesus of Nazareth.

FULLNESS IN HIM

The fullness and grace of God are found only in the “Word made Flesh,” Jesus of Nazareth John 1:14-18.

John’s prologue to his gospel introduces its key themes – Life, Light, Witness, Truth, and Grace.  Jesus is the Light of the world, the source of Grace and Truth, the True Tabernacle, the only-born Son of God, and the only one who has seen the Father.  The prologue concludes by declaring that he is the only one who is qualified to interpret the unseen God.

REVELATION – PROLOGUE

The prologue presents the basic themes of the book and declares that the season of fulfillment has arrived – Revelation 1:1-3.

Revelation’s first paragraph details its purpose, key themes, main characters, and how it communicates. Its purpose is to reveal, and its protagonists are GodJesus, and the “his servants.”It is “the prophecy,” and its source is God. The contents concern “what things must come to pass,” which provides its chronological perspective (“soon”).

SEASON IS AT HAND

In Revelation, the “last days,” the “season of the end” began with the Death and Resurrection of JesusRevelation 1:1-4.

The book of Revelation is the “revelation of Jesus Christ” for his “servants,” the “seven churches of Asia.” It concerns “what things must come to pass soon,” information that is vital because the “season is at hand,” and therefore, “blessed is he who reads, and they who heed the words of the prophecy.” With the Death and Resurrection of Jesus, the end-times have commenced.

The Unsealed Scroll – The Season is Now!

SYNOPSIS:  Unlike the book of Daniel, the scroll is unsealed in Revelation. The messianic age and the time of fulfillment arrived in the Death and Resurrection of Jesus – Revelation 1:1-3.
